Activities Coordinator

Position Summary:
Note: Grant funded position through 9/30/2028
The Activities Coordinator will provide support for campus activities under Calumet College’s Strengthening Hispanic-Serving Institutions grant and the Lilly Endowment’s Indiana Youth Programs on Campus program. Duties will include planning, publicizing, and presenting events; maintaining website information; providing faculty support; maintaining summer camp enrollment data; responding to inquiries from the public; and providing backup for the Welcome and Information Center
Responsibilities include:
- Provide faculty and staff support
- Plan, publicize, and prepare for events on campus in collaboration with faculty and staff, including purchasing all required materials and give-aways and setting up rooms
- Represent the College at community events such as parades
- Maintain grant and summer camp websites, including ongoing calendars of events
- Develop and maintain summer camp enrollment spreadsheets
- Maintain digital and paper files
- Ensure that all required forms are available on the College website
- Provide information to both internal and external constituents and stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and families
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Associate’s degree
- Experience in an administrative support role
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a team, as well as being self-motivated
- Skilled in using Microsoft applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in photography and videography
- Familiarity with digital design for flyers and online information
- Familiarity with website builder platforms
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working in or with a higher education environment
